“A Little Evening Music” is one of Mozart’s best. The Discovery Zone (p. 5) illustrates the full range of ornaments (embellishments) common in the Baroque era but still in use today. The Exploring Zone includes a deliberately over-embellished rendition of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” notated with and without the ornament signs. This piece can be played as a standalone, but we strongly recommend the accompaniment track to help you learn to play with a consistent, steady tempo.
